"I wear my ring because I made a promise to God to stay a virgin until I am married," says one high school junior. She first started wearing hers after she attended a Christian summer camp, and she and a friend decided that if asked, they would wear promise rings.

"From a religious standpoint, my choice to wear my ring strengthens my relationship with God. I feel that as teenagers, especially girls, we find ourselves in situations where we are extremely vulnerable and don't always make the right decisions.
